1. The short version
This site has no accounts, no logins and no comment forms, so it collects no name, address, date of birth or payment detail from you. What exists is server logs, basic aggregate analytics, and an affiliate tracking parameter on commercial links. That is the whole list.
2. What is collected automatically
- Server logs. The pages requested, the time, the referring page, your browser and device type, and a truncated IP address. Used to keep the site working and to detect abuse.
- Aggregate analytics. Which pages are read and for how long, in aggregate. Used to decide what to write next.
3. Cookies
Two kinds only. Strictly necessary cookies, which make the site function. And analytics cookies, which count visits in aggregate. There is no advertising cookie set by this site and no cross-site advertising profile built from your visit here.
Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site with no loss of function, because nothing here depends on being remembered between visits.
4. Affiliate tracking
Commercial links on this site carry a tracking parameter that tells the operator which page the click came from. That parameter identifies the page, not you. When you follow such a link you leave this site and arrive on the operator's own site, where its privacy policy applies and not ours. Anything you type there, including identity documents and payment details, is collected by that operator directly. We never see it, and we cannot request it, retrieve it or delete it on your behalf.
5. Who receives data
Our hosting provider, which processes server logs. Our analytics provider, which processes aggregate usage. Affiliate networks, which receive the click event and the page parameter when you follow a commercial link. Nobody else. We do not sell data and we run no data brokerage of any kind.
6. Retention
Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded. Aggregate analytics are kept in aggregate form, where individual visits are not distinguishable.
7. Your choices
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser. Nothing here stops working.
- Use your browser's do-not-track or tracking-protection setting.
- Reach a listed operator directly rather than through a commercial link, if you would rather no click event was recorded at all.
- Ask us what we hold about a visit, at [email protected]. Honest answer in most cases: nothing that identifies you.
8. Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 21 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. There is no mechanism here through which a child could submit personal data, because there are no forms.
